This rail is excellent, and fits perfectly on a carbine length rifle or even a pistol length barrel. It is rock solid and light due to its aluminum construction. Heat also quickly dissipates from the rail because of the vents, which is another plus, and it feels great on the hands even without gloves. The best feature about this hand guard is that you can choose exactly where an accessory rail needs to be mounted so it keeps it ergonomic and weight down. It is like the difference of night and day compared to the stock M4 plastic hand guards as far as comfort goes.
